There's been quite a bit of speculation about what kind of store is going in the ground floor of the office building at 411 Roosevelt at Richmond Road. Ten years ago this space used to be a branch of the Royal Bank of Canada, after that it was a beauty supply store. Next up: American Apparel. You can read more about American Apparel here.

I was hoping that space was going to be broken up into several stores instead of one big one. I was hoping for the kind of retail that would cater more to the local community, like a Home Hardware, a hobby shop, food related or services that we as residents can conveniently walk to, instead of another trendy store that the entire city will drive to.
